Hand painted wooden Passover Seder plate and 6 bowls by
Yair Emanuel
Seder plate and matching 6 small bowls originally designed
by the Israeli artist, Yair Emanuel, a graduate of Israel's prestigious Bezalel
Academy of Art. This delightful design includes an important Jewish motif – the
seven species the Land of Israel is blessed with - wheat, barley, pomegranates,
dates, figs, olives, and grapes. Emanuel's ritual articles are hand made in
Jerusalem and are often rich in vivid and harmonious colors. Each wooden
article is hand painted with a brush using acrylic colors and then varnished
with many layers, giving it a polished look. This piece is not only decorative
but also completely handy: safe with food and beverage and can be hand washed
with water. A perfect gift for holidays that will make a festive addition to a
Passover dinner.
Diameter 12.6 inchVivid and harmonious colors characterize Emanuel's hand-painted ritual articles. Each wooden article is hand-painted with brush using acrylic colors and than lacquered. It can be used for eating and drinking, and can be washed in water since it is coated with several layers of lacquer.
