This polished Mezuzah made from nickel silver is imprinted with biblical text through the use of a special technique called photo-etching.

 Israel-native artist Shirely Lev is a graduate of Israel's prestigious Bezalel Academy of Art and has also studied theology and philosophy at Tel Aviv University. Lev uses a modern technique to bring the words that have something of an ancient style. The Hebrew text is taken from the Song of Songs, from the Song known as Kol Dodi, "Hark! my beloved! behold, he cometh, leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills" (Chapter 2:8). In the Jewish tradition, the love poems in the Song of Songs, believed to be written by King Solomon himself, are interpreted as an expression of God's love for His people. Decorated with doves and a heart between them, this mezuzah will bring peace and blessing into your home. Shirely Lev's mezuzahs are also imprinted with "Shomer Dlatot Israel", which means the protector of our gates, and are signed by the artist.
