Made from wood, this Hanukkah menorah is designed by renowned Judaica artist Yair Emanuel.

Emanuel, who lives and works in Jerusalem, draws his inspiration from his surroundings. This beautiful Hanukkah menorah is hand-painted by the artist with the distinctive landscape of the holy city. Each side of the menorah is painted with a different image. Painted in vivid colors, the menorah is varnished with many layers, giving it a polished look.
The menorah progressively unfolds as the holiday continues. On the first day of Hanukkah, the first candle holder is open while the rest of the candle holders remain closed and so forth for each subsequent day until on the eighth day it is fully open. Yair Emanuel

The works of Yair Emanuel have been influenced by his childhood experiences as well as his education at Israel's finest Art and Design school. Yair Emanuel was born in Kibbutz Shalavim, an Orthodox kibbutz located not far from the city of Mo'diin. His family soon thereafter moved to Jerusalem where he spent his formative years. Emanuel was accepted to the prestigious Bezalel academy of Art and Design where he developed a more pluralistic approach to the Jewish religion, further impacting the approach to his art. The preffered materials used by Yair Emanuel are wood, silk, cotton, glass and aluminum. The highly recognizable style used by Yair can be found on items such as Seder plates, Hanukkah Menorahs, wall hangings, Tallit (Jewish Prayer Shawls), Kipot, Kiddush cups, Havdalah sets and so much more. Yair Emanuel has been singled out for his ability to; hand paint, embroider, and raw-silk appliqué like no other Judaica artist.
