The Menorah is a seven-branch candelabrum made of gold. Placed in the Jewish Holy Temple, the High Priest used to light the candles in the Menorah every evening.

The shape of the Menorah is described in the book of Exodus. According to the passages the seven-branch Menorah has to be beaten out of a single piece of solid gold with a central cone and six branches in total - three on each side. The Menorah is decorated with goblets, buttons and flowers on each of its seven branches. According to tradition, God has revealed the design of the Menorah to Moses on Mount Sinai as a burning Menorah appeared before him. The Menorahs were built with accordance to this apparition.
