The Pesach Yom Tov (the Passover) begins on the night of the 15th day of the month of Nissan and is celebrated for eight days. This holiday commemorates the salvation of the nation of Israel from ancient Egypt.

Pesach marks the birth of the Jewish people as a nation, led by the prophet  'Moshe Rabeinu' (Moses) over three thousand years ago. In this Festival we celebrate our spiritual freedom as much as our  physical redemption from slavery.

The highlight of Passover is the 'Seder Night', a unique ceremony which is celebrated on the first two nights of Passover.

At the Seder, we eat specific symbolic foods , we tell the story of our redemption from Egypt, we sing songs and praises , and say special prayers out of the 'Hagadah'.
