Product Description

This fabulous Dorit Judaica wall plaque engraved in stainless steel displays two trees laden with luscious pomegranate fruits. In the center is written in bold Hebrew letters, “Tree! Tree! How shall I bless you?” This is a reference to the well-known story related in the Talmud of a traveler who wandered in the desert. Weary and tired he came across a tree. With great delight, he ate from its fruit, rested in its shade and drank from the small brook at its foot. Before leaving, he wanted to express gratitude to the tree but asked, “How can I bless a tree that is already fully blessed and lacks nothing?” In a moment of inspiration he expresses the immortal words written at the base of the plaque, “May it be the will of G-d that all the saplings planted from you be as blessed as you are.”
Around the plaque are symbolic pomegranates, a popular motif for blessing and plenty. The two doves perched on top are a symbol of peace, reminding us that the greatest blessings can only be enjoyed if there is peace and goodwill between people.
Present this splendid piece of work to parents, grandparents, teachers or your Rabbi. The eloquent words carry a message that will always be cherished.
